Getting started
Wi-Fi devices (cameras, doorbell, Muntro Climate) work without a hub. Zigbee sensors, bulbs and plugs need a Zigbee coordinator, such as the Muntro Hub or Hub Mini. Thread devices need a Thread border router. the Muntro Hub is one, and so are many other Matter controllers.
Open the Muntro app, tap + Add device and scan the QR code on the device or its box. The app detects the protocol and walks you through pairing, which usually takes less than a minute.
Yes. Matter-enabled Muntro devices can be added directly with their Matter QR code. Thanks to Matter multi-admin, you can control the same device from several platforms at once. Zigbee devices are exposed to Matter through the Muntro Hub.
Connectivity
Zigbee is a mesh, so it gets stronger with mains-powered repeaters like Muntro Plugs or Muntro Switches between the Hub and distant devices. Keep the Hub at least 1 m away from your Wi-Fi router, and try changing the Zigbee channel in Hub settings → Network.
Yes. the Muntro Hub runs automations, scenes and local control without an internet connection. Remote access, notifications and voice assistants need a connection, and they resume automatically once you're back online.
With the Hub powered on, press and hold the reset button on the bottom for 10 seconds until the ring flashes amber. Your devices will need to be paired again afterwards, but cloud backups can restore your rooms and automations.
