Speaks every language your home does.

We don't believe in walled gardens. Muntro devices are built on the open, industry-backed protocols that let products from different brands work together, today and for years to come.

Zigbee3.0

Zigbee 3.0

Zigbee is a low-power mesh network standard maintained by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA). Every mains-powered device acts as a repeater, so the network gets stronger as you add products. Zigbee 3.0 unified earlier profiles into a single, interoperable standard.

Matter1.4

Matter

Matter is the unifying application layer created by Apple, Google, Amazon, Samsung and hundreds of CSA members. It runs over Thread, Wi-Fi and Ethernet, and uses Bluetooth LE for setup. With Matter, one Muntro device works natively with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings, all at the same time.

  • The Hub bridges Zigbee devices into Matter
Thread1.3

Thread

Thread is a low-power, IPv6-based mesh network from the Thread Group. Every device has its own IP address, so there's no single point of failure, and border routers connect the mesh to your home network. It's the preferred low-power transport for Matter.

KNX

KNX is the open, worldwide standard for home and building automation (ISO/IEC 14543-3), backed by hundreds of manufacturers. Switches, sensors and actuators share a dedicated low-voltage bus, so control stays fast and dependable without relying on radio. The Muntro Hub connects to KNX installations through a KNX/IP interface, so existing wired systems join your Muntro home.

Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth LE

High-bandwidth devices like cameras and doorbells use Wi-Fi 6 for smooth 2K video. Bluetooth LE handles fast onboarding, Matter commissioning and phone-as-key unlocking at close range.

Security & privacy

Secure by default. Private by principle.

Security isn't a feature you turn on. It's built into every layer, from silicon to cloud.

  • Secure element on every Hub stores keys in tamper-resistant hardware.
  • Signed OTA updates with automatic rollback protection.
  • Local video processing. Person detection happens on the device.
  • Minimum 5 years of security updates on every product.
